Board Selection & Leadership

PVN-MI Board membership is by invitation only and is not open through general application. Directors are selected through a selective evaluation process based on their demonstrated expertise, professional accomplishments, industry leadership, and sustained contributions to the fields of Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and related disciplines.

 

The Board seeks accomplished leaders representing diverse sectors of the healthcare ecosystem who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the profession through innovation, collaboration, education, and thought leadership. 

​Board leadership positions, including Co-chair, are elected by the Board from among its members. These positions are entrusted to individuals who have earned the confidence of their peers through exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and sustained service to the organization. Serving multiple terms in these leadership roles reflects the continued trust and confidence of fellow Board members and recognition of an individual's respected leadership within the profession.

Board vacancies are identified based on organizational needs and strategic priorities. Potential candidates are identified by the Board and evaluated according to criteria that include:

  • Demonstrated professional leadership

  • Significant industry expertise

  • Contributions to advancing the profession

  • Strategic vision

  • Commitment to PVN-MI's mission

  • Ability to contribute collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Board

Appointment to the Board requires approval by the existing Board of Directors.

Election to the position of Board Chair represents one of the highest leadership distinctions within PVN-MI. The Chair is elected by fellow Board members based on demonstrated leadership, professional credibility, strategic vision, and sustained contributions to both the organization and the profession.
